Originally from Spain, Lana Privitera graduated in 1983 from the Fine Arts School of Zaragoza, where she majored in Fashion Design and Art History. After working in Advertising for a few years, she moved to the USA in the early 1990s.
In the late 1990s, her detailed and colorful watercolors of NJ farms and towns won her a following and some recognition in the Tri-State area, being the recipient of numerous awards.
Mrs. Privitera returned in recent years to the Art World after a long hiatus, She has been very active participating in a long list of Group shows, had also several Solo Exhibits and has conducted Demos and workshops in the Tri-State area (NY). At National level, she is currently a Signature Member of the Northeast Watercolor Society, a Fellow of the American Artist Professional League and an Elected Member of the Audubon Artists Inc.
In the last two years her paintings has been accepted in art exhibits in Dubai, Greece and Canada.
She's represented in Spain by the prestigious gallery "A del Arte" , located in Zaragoza,
Mrs. Privitera has been an Art educator for over 15 years and it's currently an Art Instructor at the Wallkill River school of Art in Montgomery, NY.
She'll be conducting her first International watercolor workshop in Montevideo, Uruguay in December 2018.
