Realistic Watercolors for the Detail-Oriented Beginner. Learning the basics with Lana Privitera - If you’d love to paint watercolors full of color and detail, this workshop is for you. In this relaxing workshop, you won’t need drawing skills. Each day I’ll be demonstrating the different techniques needed to create basic, realistic subjects. After each of my brief Demos, you’ll have your chance to give it a try. To make things even easier for you, we’ll work in small scale, so you can take home some precious little jewel every day.

Location: WRS  $140 ea. Session ($125 Members)  Wednesdays 10 -12:30; Session I: June 3, 10, 17, 24. Session II: July 1, 8, 15, 22  Session III: Sept 2, 9, 16, 23  Request Material List on Registration.

Realistic Watercolors for the Detail-Oriented Intermediate student with Lana Privitera -  Would you like to paint more vibrant watercolors? Are your paintings looking too “bland” or too “muddy”? Not sure how to make your subject look more 3-dimensional? Then this class is for you. During Session I we’ll work on vignettes of some popular subjects, such rocks, wood, glass reflections and skies. For Session II, which will focus on buildings, you’ll need to bring along a photo reference of your chosen subject and a mostly-completed drawing of it on the first day of class. We’ll work on creating a watercolor with a full gamut of values to reinforce the lessons learned during Session I.  For our 3rd Session, the subject will be chosen by popular demand. This class is for those with at least some basic experience with watercolor techniques.

Location: WRS  $140 each session ($125 Members)  Mondays 10-12:30,  Session I: June 1, 8, 15, 22. Session II:  June 29, July 6, 13, 20  Session III: Sept 7, 14, 21, 28

How-to-fix a “Blah” Watercolor with Lana Privitera - Bring your Not-Quite-so-Perfect  watercolors to this Critique & Fix class, and learn how to attack and solve some of your compositional or technical problems. In this Once-a-month, three-hour session, I’ll demonstrate how to fix most common problems in watercolors with some of my favorite tricks. Learn to turn an apparently hopeless painting into something you can be proud off! This class is appropriate for the Intermediate to Advanced Watercolor artist that enjoys realistic, detailed watercolors. Bring your own supplies.

Location: WRS  $45 ($40 for Members)  (minimum 3) –First Thursday of the month. 3:30-6:30 pm. June 4, July 2, Aug 6, Sept 3
